The Food Trucks

I have good eats !
It's been discovered there's a perfect location for food trucks on site. If you have a food truck and want to attend, click the Good Eats button above. As an attendee, when you're feeling a bit peckish and need a bit of a break from shopping we have the perfect solution! Delicious food awaits you just steps away. In 2026 these food trucks will be available: Schmidt's Sauage Truck Awarded “Best Columbus Food Truck” by the Columbus Dispatch, the trucks feature Schmidt’s favorites like the Bahama Mama and the Jumbo Cream Puff. Brewed Brothers Coffee If You Cheese Where Italian-American magic meets the heart of Central Ohio! The Exhibit Hall

The Exhibit Hall, at the show, routinely has more than 150 exhibits, that the public can view for free. The exhibits showcase miniature and scale works from local artists, including prior Ohio State Fair winners.

The People's Choice Award

Everyone who attends has the ability to vote for their favorite exhibit. The piece with the most votes wins The People’s Choice Award for the year. This year there's two awards, one for a full dollhouse, one for any other exhibit.

The Take-and-Make Challenge

Since the amazing exhibits are sure to inspire you, CMS offers a project challenge every year. The basic building blocks for a creative project are available for free. Accept the challenge, take some items home, create your own scale item with them, and bring it to the show the following year. In 2025, the challenge was lapel pins and brooches. Although there were some amazing innovations, the winner was a deconstructed stick pin. The stick was transformed into a marshmallow roasting stick, complete with a lit campfire to hold it over, while the flat round top became a platter full of s'mores. 2026 CHALLENGE - Gift Baskets Use any sort of basket to make a to-scale gift basket of some sort. Anything you would like to give or receive is fair game! Although baskets were available at the show, feel free to use any basket, or even make one.
It's all about getting involved. There's something of interest for everyone at the show and sale. From amazing displays to amazing things to purchase you're sure to find something you love. Or something you didn't know you loved! come get involved for the day and maybe for the rest of the year.

The Sales Floor

A mere $5 at the door gains you access to dozens of scale vendors and artists. This is where you're going to want to spend your mini-money! The selection is amazing, as are the one-of-a-kind treasures you're sure to find. We suggest you start saving up now for this shopping experience like no other.

Did we say shopping?

Veterans of the sale have learned to bring only the amount in their budget that they are willing to spend. Of course, re-entry is free, so they've also learned to head to the nearest bank for an ATM when they find that I-can't-live-without-it perfect item that's slightly over budget.

Glorious Grab Bags

For the unbelievable price of $1, CMS offers grab bags filled with all kinds of random scale items. Available on a first come, first served basis, the supply is limited -- both in the number for sale and the number you may purchase. There is a purchase limit of five.

Remarkable Raffles

You're going to want to save another $1 for a raffle ticket -- or you can get 6 for $5 and try your luck to win one of following:
TOOL BOXFilled with a variety of tools and supplies needed for miniature creations. It's perfect to get you started or add to your current toolbox.
KIT BASKETFilled with kits in any of the scales, giving the opportunity to craft in a variety of scales, techniques and/or mediums.
There will also be a variety of finished projects available for raffle, perfect for gift giving or keeping for yourself!
