Take and Make Challenge Junk Pile Extraordinaire
The Junk Lady appears in the movie Labyrinth. She is one of the many Junk People piling massive amounts of miscellany upon their backs in the Junk City, just outside the gates of the Goblin City and she was inspiration for this year's winner! Instead of piling junk on her back, this year's winner piled amazing miniatures under glass creating an object that personifies "the more you look, the more you see."
Exhibit Dollhouse
This 1:12 house has all the details needed to create a comfortable dream home, complete with a two-story wraparound porch! The cedar planking exterior walls run both horizonal and vertical, giving the exterior a unique construction and attention to detail. Topped with a metal roof, this dollhouse is certainly a winner.

Take and Make A-STRAW-nomyTower
This tower room, designed to look to the stars, makes use of stars and straws throughout the design. In fact, the more you look, the more you see! Straws decorated with stars create both the supporting columns of the room but the support for the telescope. And of course, there's the fabulous pun in the name of the room.
Exhibit General Store DollhouseThis 1:12 general store dollhouse amazingly has everything you could every want from your local store inside, but the most amazing thing for attendees was the outside. Hundreds of tiny bricks adorn the entire building; each one individually cut from cardboard and aged to perfection. A wide-plank aged wood floor continues the aged setting of this semi-old fashioned general store. Wouldn't it be nice to still have a local general store like this that had everything you needed just down the street?

There's actually a complete miniature library between the stacks complete with comfortable seating, beautiful lighting perfect for reading, and hundreds of handmade books (yes, induvial handmade!).
Take and Make Winter Wonderland
This year the Take and Make Challenge was to use a lid to create something to-scale. This creative attendee took a blue lid and used it as base for an outdoor ice-skating pond surrounded by everything winter wonderlandish. There are pine trees, snowpeople, ice skaters, and even logs-turned-into-seats for the skaters!
