2022 CAP-tivating Creativity

Attendees to the 2021 Show and Sale were issued a creative challenge. Take any cap or lid, create something out of it, and bring it to the 2022 Show for display. Those who accepted the challenge were entered in The People’s Choice Award and won free entry to the Sale.

Playing Around This year's voted People's Choice Award winner took a blue lid and turned it into a frozen park winter wonderland complete with a frozen pond, snow people, a snow ball fight, and pine trees dusted with snow.

2022 Cap and Lid Creativity

Into the Frying Pan A 2 liter lids has been turned upside down, painted black to make a cast iron pan, and filled with delish breakfast foods.
Fairy GardenA lid turned upside down makes the foundation for this charming fairy garden, complete with a tiny farming couple.
Tropical Paradise Hot pink flamingos are wading in tidal pools created from bottle caps.
Grandfather Clock The face of this stylish grandfather clock is a 20-ounce drink cap painted white with clock elements added.
Drinks on Us This charming vignette has been made completely out of various lids and caps. The only thing not a lid or a cap is the umbrella support, which is straw -- and straws often go with lids anyway!
Poolside SpectacularEvery element of this fancy spa/pool side vignette has been crafted with caps and lids. The planters are deeper lids from things like hair spray or hair gel, the steps are bottle caps, the pool is a lid filled with resin water... the more you look the more you see.
Succulent A toothpaste cap has become the home of a detailed succulent.
Retro Planter The cap from a hairspray bottle has been flipped over, filled with plants, and given retro-modern legs.
